Collection notice for EPA
The independent Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) collects personal information such as your name, contact details, and any information you provide in your submission, including any supporting documents, for the purpose of managing subscriptions and assessing submissions.
This information is collected under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (WA).
Your personal information will be used for the purpose for which it was collected, or for a related purpose, where permitted by law.
The EPA may disclose your personal information to other government agencies, and to the relevant project proponent where necessary, to assess your submission.
Providing the required information is necessary for the EPA to process your submission. While providing your personal details is voluntary, you may choose to remain anonymous where lawful to do so.
If you do not provide the required information, the EPA may be unable to register you for subscriptions or properly assess your submission.
The EPA will handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Responsible Information Sharing Act 2024 (WA), DWER’s published privacy and responsible information‑handling framework and EPA’s privacy policy.
