Proposal description

Tungsten Mining NL proposes to extract and process tungsten and molybdenum from the Mulgine Hill and Mulgine Trench deposits at Mount Mulgine over a period of 15 years. The proposal is located approximately 15 km north east of Rothsay, within the Shire of Perenjori.

The proposal is partially located:

  • on M59/425, which was previously mined for gold as part of the Minjar Gold Mine Project
  • within the former Warriedar pastoral station, which is managed for conservation purposes by the Department of Parks and Wildlife

The project would comprise of three open pits, a processing plant, two waste rock landforms, a tailing storage facility and development of associated mine infrastructure. The proposal would utilise some existing infrastructure and disturbed areas, and require clearing of approximately 146 hectares.
