ProjectProponent: City of PerthProposal description: The outcome of this assessment affirms the position adopted by the Environmental Protection Authority's 1983 System Six report in recommending that the bushland areas known as the Swanbourne Beach and Rifle Range (M46) and Bold Park (M47) should form a Regional Park for their conservation, recreation and educational values and their proximity to Perth. Over recent years there has been numerous proposed land uses in these areas which could affect the above values. The Environmental Protection Authority requested the City of Perth undertake a Public Environmental Review to investigate the environmental effects upon City of Perth controlled portions of the M46 and M47 areas which may arise from known proposals, and to propose a mechanism for ensuring the protection of the values of these areas.
